So I woke up on Wednesday with a rash (it was enflamed and itchy) under the tip of my penis on the right side. After some internet self assessment (I know, not the wisest thing, I'm in-between health insurance right now) It looked a lot like balanitis. I started used Lotrimin which reduced the redness and the itch, but after a day I noticed soreness further underneath my penis, on the underside of the tip.
They originally looked like two cuts, and again assumed it was balanitis. The Lotrimin was helping again with the swelling, itching and agitation but after a few days these cuts now look different and I'm nervous it could be the dreaded Herpes.
They didnt have a blister, there wasn't any discharge or ooze like the cold sores I get. I have Oral herpes, which I have a Valtrex prescription for and it looks and feels different than this. Also I havnt taken any other medication other than lotrimin.
I am sexually active, but with the same partner for the last 9 months and they have not had an outbreak
Looks like genital herpes, there’s some clinics that do testing for free!

Looks consistent with herpes sores. Would go get it swabbed if you want to be sure. There’s some free services out there. Definitely take the Valtrex for it (2-3x per day). You can also get Lysine a supplement that can help
