Hey apologies for posting twice, I've an issue with a redness in my foreskin. but i've attatched a couple photos so people can see what im talking about. Does this look like balantitis or more a reaction to something. It's been 2 weeks since this began and it has died down slightly after using canestan HC and miconazole 2% with hydrocortisone. My doctor has also prescribed me terbinafine, as he believed it looked like a fungal infection like tinea corporis, which as I've researched normally only occurs in exposed skin. I have no itching or pain and haven't done at all since i woke up with this redness, however the foreskin feels drier to touch in the reddened area. Any thoughts would be appreciated on what this is and how to go about treating it
If you have been treating it for 2 weeks I would expect it to be back to normal by now. Maybe tell your doctor and see if there s another treatment to try.
Thing is I've been to two doctors already, The first was two days after this began and he prescribed me canestan HC and said it should be gone in about a week without acc telling me what he thought the issue was. Obviously that didn't work and I saw a second doctor a week later who prescribed me flucoxicillan for a week which I've just finished and terbinofine for a month, again without seeming like he knew what it was. I have noticed an improvement from since this began but I don't see how this could be a fungal infection as I wash everyday down there and my diet isn't that bad.
I also haven't experienced any symptoms except for the redness
