I have undergone broken ankle surgery on 16th May 2017 with metal plates and screws fixed. After removal of my stitches the bandage(not cast) was put on my ankle up to knee and advised me to visit after 5 weeks. Now after three weeks the bandage loosened and mild pain started at surgery area. Please advise me should I consult my surgeon or wait for two more weeks. Please do reply as I need your support friends. I did not get any reply of my previous two queries. Thank you.
Hi Ajay...you should certainly see your GP.. to put your mind at rest...and also because it is a support bandage for your injury...try not to worry too much, but make an appointment for today...if you are unable to,...then go to your local accident and emergency and ask for their advice and help...

You already have a good answer and have taken action. That's great. In my opinion if you have a medical question make a call to your medical professional for advise. If you have a question about how someone else handled the same kind of situation for example getting use to walking with crutches on a sloped sidewalk or on stairs others may have good tips. The thing I remember is that healing took longer than I wanted and I had to keep my spirits up. Keep your chin up and you will do very well. Stay close to your friends. Best regards.
