Barrats and sickness!!

I'm a 31 yr old female and was diagnosed with barrats and a smal joyous hernia in October 2016 after over 10yrs of symptoms.

A lot of medication did nothing for my symptoms but I now take emozoprazol and ranitidine and for the past while have had good relief however ..

Last Friday out of the blue I felt sick and vomited quite a few times, thought maybe just a bug but then again 2 nites ago I was violently sick for hours and hours. Now I feel better but (now this might sound silly) I can feel pain/burning as if way inside my esophagus , the sort of soreness although not as bad as I felt after having biopsies taken.. I'm now worried that anytime I'm being sick (which I seem quite prone to) will be causing a lot more damage ! And is there anything I can take now to get rid of this sensation??? My diet is really good , not overweight etc not smoke or drink

Your vomiting will have brought acid into th eoesophagus and probably caused a bit of oesophagitis which is the continual burning.

Your PPIs will deal with this but it may take a week or two to subside. If necessary, you could double the dose of your PPI for a week - but do discuss this with your doctor.

Doctor didn't seem interested in the slightest his reply was it will be gastritis .. I shall try that thank you . It's as if I feel the damage it has done already
