Hi everyone waiting on camera soon u posted the other day that I really don't want to go through with the camera this time .I have had many of them over the years .but this time I'm struggling to go through with it .
As I've been feeling really ill for so long .larthagic .aching all over. Chest pain .sore throat .as if something stuck in throat. Always have to clear my throat. Feels as if something on my lungs .
I am just very worried incase they say I have anything .
Hi your symptoms sound like all the ones i have, i refused to have camera and they now say they can't help me at all.
If you don't have the scope, you'll still be worrying - about what they may have discovered.
If you do have the scope, your mind will be put at rest that there;s nothing sinister.
And IF , in the unlikely event there was something sinister, the earlier it could be discovered, the better as it could still be treated. IF Barrett's were to progress to neoplasia (the start of cancer) it could take 20 years. IF neoplasia were diagnosed, prognosis would typically be just 6 weeks!
The chances are they'll find nothing untoward. (99.5% certain) but it would be reassuring to have that confirmation.
