Does anyone know whether Barrett's tends to progress in both length and metaplaysia or does it usually stay stable?
According to most literature, it is fairly stable in length after first development, but may progress from metaplasia to dysplasia. Progression is generally slow, which is why scoping every 3 years or so (depending on length) is recommended.
