i had my op on the morning of the 2 nd. Has all felt a bit surreal for me. I've never had any significant surgry before, so until recent problems with my left hip I have been fit and well. All has gone smoothly it seems so far and like you Ive been up and about though I do rest lots to stop my self doing too much too soon!! I've been told partial weight bearing for 6 weeks (another rule I have are broken!😳) I need policing!! Your right it is a bit of a journey and we are only at the beginning!!! 😰 best wishes and monitor that sore closely!! Xx
I have startedto roll onto the side with the use of a pillow between the legs. I actually feel it is easier on the operated side, when on the 'good' side, the operated leg 'pulls' and feels uncomfortable. It helped to have a pillow behind the back the first couple of times. I find the firmer mattress in our spare bed much better than the less firm in our bed.
Snoring is no problem - I snore a lot, but my wife cannot hear me if she hasn't got her aids in her ears.
Rear end is getting numb at the end of the night now - so I guess it's important for me to turn as in 4 weeks time I should be coming out of hospital once again after my revision surgery.

Yes I put a pillow behind me last night. Poor you with further surgery. Best wishes to you
it's another of those little things no-one tells you about before the operation isn't it.
It is indeed!
One of my daughters just came over with a sheepskin she'd bought me from Dunelm, kind girl. So will try that tonight. Been sitting on it on a chair - v soft.
Good girl!!! Sure it WILL help.xxx
Greetings abby, be sure to putt the sheep skin against your bare bottom.
The oils in the sheep skin will help heal you site.
Why are bed sores a worry Kate! I have one on my elbow and two on
each heel, I just put sudacream on them. Do I need to do something else? Worried by your post. - thanks
How are you Abby? We seem to be going through this thing identically and now we have matching bed sores!
Typo: There should be a question mark rather than exclamation after Kate on first line . Apologies.
I'm good today rose thanks - suddenly can see light at the end of the tunnel!
Re the bed sores - there are 4 stages and the later stages can be quite dangerous. Superman (Christopher Reeve) died of a bed sore!
God your kidding superman died of a bed sore! Seeing them in a completely different way now c
