Been diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma and can now only sleep on one side.

Dizziness now constant and very severe if my head is tilted back as in looking at top shelf in shops, also cannot lie down without room spinning unless on left side. Unable to get any answer from my doc.  Can anyone tell me if this is normal for a neuroma please.  Thank you

Hi alison, i was diagnosed three plus years ago with the same i had my left ear killed off hoping it would help my balance.it didnt what happened was the tinnitus got an awful lot louder and it dosnt go away 24/7 im afraid one more problem it created was i cant which direction any noise is coming from.i dont look up anymore and i only drive short distances just incase a wobble comes on apart from that it is not aproblem certainly wont kill you but the problems they cause can be a tad distressing i wouldnt recommend  the ear treatment but cyber knife may suit you a friend of mine just had the C/K and appears to be doing ok so dont worry you just have to get used to the effin side affects ps im a 72 year old man (they say its easier for women) xx

Oh dear. Thought this might be the case. Hearing already very poor and aid turned up so high it ‘squeals’ when I get too close to an object. At least I now know I’m not alone experiencing tinnitus and dizziness and that relieves some of my anxiety. Thank you for responding
