Been having anxiety for the last 2 weeks!

I've had anxiety off an on for years. I'm a 26 year old male. I have a severe hypocondria. 3 years ago I had all the tests and they said I was fine and not to worry about anything. Seems like every year I go through a bout of bad anxiety around this time. I do have pacs and palpitations and was told to just ignore them. Recently I have been very tired and just feel anxious everyday. Only symptoms I have are palpitations and this constant feeling in my chest. It's hard to explain it's like a full weird feeling and it of course triggers my cardiophobia. I went to the doctor couple weeks ago and was told my vitamin D was low and to take D2 50k once a week and I take my second dose today. Only thing that seems to give me relief is Xanax and sleep. It's running my life. I don't know what to do.

I’m very sorry that you are going through this weird condition.

I am at 69 age going through similar condition and became treatment resistant inspite tried medicines, CBT and ECT treatments. I can understand that Sleeplessness is the major problem.

I have the same issue of sleeplessness.

Last week my neurologist prescribed 10mg Melatonin (OTC) over the counter which helped me sleep for 6-7 hrs. I am On 1mg Clonazipam at bed time and 300mg Gabapentine for Anxiety, sleep and Cervical neck and back pains. I also take Bloodthinner Xarelto20mg and other medicines for BP, Colestrol, digestive issues.  I wish if you discuss with your doctor, who may first treat your sleep issue and other issues too. We appreciate if anyone else can share their comments too.

Hi. I've had the same palpitations, pacs, pvcs and found out that magnesium and taurine helped calm them. As always ask your doctor first before taking any supplement. My vit D was low as well and whenever I took a lot of vit D I felt jittery and prone to panic. A lot more anxious. I also felt weird with my chest and breathing. Vit D needs magnesium to get absorbed so be sure you are taking both. I couldn't take high dose D and slowly brought my level up by taking 2,000 IU of D3 everyday for a few months and spending time in the sun. Maybe your doctor will let you do this. Hope you feel better.

You sound so like me lol I'm the exact same, iv been a hypocondraiact my whole life but the past year of been getting panic attacks every day and my chest feels tight. It's a horrible thing to live with but with the right medication and people to talk to you will get there in the end

It's good to know your not alone. I hate this feeling. It's weird and freaks me out. I think it has to do with low vitamin d
