been taking 300mg of pregabalin 2 times a day and been told by my doctor to take 300mg 3 times a day

I'm worried reading about dosage intake on different sites and some say max of 300mg per day and some say otherwise,  I've been taking this along with a concoction of other media for 2 years now due to 2 badly worn disks in my spine I take along side 600mg a day of pregabalin 500mg naproxen 2 times a day 50mg amitriptline at night and wear 20mg per hr butrans patchs that last for a week at a time...

I'm worried sick about that amount of different drugs I take for my back pain and don't see no way that it's ever going to end... Every time I see a doctor about it all they do is say to take more of one or the other, now he has said to me to take 300mg of pregabalin 3 times a day and I'm scared to be honest to increase the amount of drugs I already take. I'm out of my nut from the time I get up in the morning to the time I go to bed at night.. I tried what the doc said and took the extra 300mg dosage of pregabalin before I went to bed last night and laid there all night feeling like I couldn't breathe and would wake up and gasp for air like I wasn't getting any oxygen.. Is my doctor trying to kill me?????

Also had a lumber epidural 3 weeks ago with no effect I'm at my witts end and don't know what to do

Hi Steve,

I think you are takeing far two many meds already,

I am on max dose of Pregabalin 600mg my Doctor said you can not go any higher than that,

You need to cut down on meds because your body only gets used too what you are taking and you will just have to keep doseing up all the time...cut down now before you damage your liver

Why would my doctor say to take 900 mg of pregabalin if 600 Is the max??

I dont no Steve,

The 3 different Doctors I have seen at my surgery have all stated 600mg is the max dose,

Check the instructions with meds and check sites on line too they will also state 600mg max dose
