Well good weather today so hubby and I got a train to Weymouth
Great day, walked the eslanade, watched the sailing boats, Punch and Judy , had a couple of drinks and then fish and chips before heading home. I know I could not have done the walking last year, I still have a way to go but feel good tonight
Oh Maggie, I do so envy you living in lovely Weymouth. When we lived in London we would catch the train for what we called a Seaside day, - fish and chips in the restaurant on a corner site along the front, a good walk and finally a huge ice cream in Rossi(?) We retired to Norfolk and although the coast is wonderful here, Weymouth is still my favourite seaside place. So glad to hear that you had a great day and that you were able to walk better than pre op. Good on yer mate, get all that lovely ozone in your lungs, keep walking and enjoying your new life without pain. Your post brought a smile to my face, thank you!
We actually live in darkest Wiltshire, so the train ride was 1.5 hours. We can use our bus passes on the Weymouth line so we travelled cheap
Sorry Maggie, I read your original comment again and realised my error. Wish the text on this forum was a little bigger ( or that what is left of my brain would work a bit better). Anyway, glad you had a great day out.
Glad you had a good time Maggie
The sea air will be good for you.
Dear Maggie,

Glad you had a lovely day, Maggie!
I really need to have a seaside break - I just love being by the sea - it makes you feel so good and oh those fish and chips!

Sounds like a great day out, sense of achievement too 👍I'm heading down the beach for a walk after school drop off. It's a lovely sunny day here in Wollongong. Might try and upload a few pics later.
I certainly slept well last night. That's another new and positive comment to be able to make!
I live by the sea, at sunny Cromer, Cromer has just won pier of the year also our pier is the only pier in Europe that has the original end of the pier show still going twice a year and we are going to go on friday
