Beginner - need guidance

Hey there,

I have just taken my first Orlistat pill before dinner and am now waiting anxiously for it to work, does anyone know how long it takes for a pill to kick in?

Also the doctor has started me off on one pill a day, so anyone know roughly how long a pill takes to wear off?

Thank yooooouuuuuuuu

Hi Bubbs

I have been taking the blueys since saturday and so far so good. I have had no wind, loo trips or oil. The only thing is that this does make me wonder whether it is actually doing anything :!:

I am hoping that they kick in straight away, but am already worried that it is not working for me. I shall have to be patient and wait and see I guess. I am also doing ww so will go for my first weigh in there on saturday morning so I will see.

Just stick to it hun and try your best only time will tell.

Hey guys, this isnt a magic pill which will show dramatic effects immediately. It stops the body from ingesting the fat in your meals by only allowing 30% to be absorb by the body as that still needs fats to work properly. Believe me when I say you really dont want to have your body showing you the side effects.....read the other threads for more info if you feel brave. 8)

The pill is an aid to assist in weight loss - you have to think before you eat, revealuate whats on your plate and learn portion control and fat content which is certainly easier than it used to be. A lot of it is trial and error as not every food affects everybody the same way.

The pills dont differentiate between good and bad fat but there is loads of advice and help on here. If in doubt ask, and we will all help you.

Kepp your chin up, most of us lose weight in the first month, then it levels off and then lose again. Keep drinking plenty of water and exercising :D

Hi welcolm guys......... the blueys do take a bit of time to settle into your system, however if you stick to three meals a day with a approx 50 grams of fat in one day and keep on taking the blueys, over time you will loose weight...... its no magic pill but if you stick to it you will most likey loose weight.

I am on my 3rd month and due to be weighed next thureday to date i have lost 1 1/2 stones..... very pleased with the weight loss...... but it has been hard and had a few blips...... but we are only human.....

But if you keep on track most of the time..... you will notice a difference....
