4 weeks tomorrow for LTHR and making good progress--just finished up home PT (10 visits) Trying to build back stamina and starting out patient PT tomorrow. My main issue for this past week is pain behind knee when lying in bed. Very uncomfortable and makes sleeping difficult. Don't really notice it when I am up. Has anyone else experienced this?
I dont
Want emails about hip replaxements how do I stop them?
Yes, I had the same thing. I thought it would never go away, but after a couple months it finally eased up and went away. I checked with the doctor, he said its nothing, it just happens sometimes.
Hi Tammy .... sometimes I feel discomfort behind and around my knee(s) and I think it is because of lying flat on the bed with leg stretched, which is different from standing - I just push it out gently and if too painful I pull it up a bit, put a pillow under neath .... Did you mention it to your PT? maybe massaging the spot might help - take care - big hug - sounds like you are doing well though !!!
I use a pillow under my knee. xx
Hi Tammie,
greetings.
no, I didn't, but for six weeks I took 2 junior asprin in mornings and two paracetemols at night, for both pain prevention in night and anti DVT (no eleastic stockings, thank spirits).
Hope it gradually fades, and maybe paracetemol might help?
Mic

If you don't want e mail about hip replacement all you have to do is leave the group or just delete without reading
It will be 5 weeks on Monday for me, I haven't had any Ptolemaic for some reason my Dr only believes in walking he might change his mind on 25th when I see him for check up also I get stinging sensation on my bum cheeks, last night I forgot and rolled on to my operated side and went straight off to sleep okay woke once out of the whole night and got another 4 hours sleep
Yes I have found a pillow under the knee works well when i am on my back and then as I roll from side to side it goes in between my knees, it helps sort of. Had to nove into the double bed in the spare room as night times I need the whole bed, to roll about in plus am awake several times in the night finding a good position, usually on the tablet playing war games!
I usually end up reading a book on the tablet or games I have hidden object games, crosswords and Voltaire I do enjoy the crosswords kept the brain from going stale lol,
