hi
about 3 weeks ago i got very bloated. and i noticed that my belly button was a bit swollen and i could feel it like a lump. and there was a bit of swell around the outside of belly button that comes and goes. i have been finding that empytying my bowls was harder than usuall and felt very full and bloated. this has gone now but last night i finally had a good poop excuse the french. and then about 30 mins later i had massive amounts of diarreha, like water. then i flelt so much better. but today i still have the swollen belly button and it doesnt hurt really. not even if i push on it. i am just aware of it and sometimes i get a little ache. but not at all painful. what could this be? im pretty worried and cant get into the docs for over 2 weeks
I would ring the surgery stating You cannot wait two weeks and if they won't see you to give you the phone number for a walk in surgery. ( I am assuming your English)
To me it sounds like IBS but it's only guess work. I have experienced all you have stated, so your by no means on your own. Gut issues can all sound similar hence diagnosis is important. Try not to worry IBS is manageable, try cutting out glueton just for now, once you have seen the GP you will know what your dealing with and how to mange it.
hi
yes i am in the uk and i guess ill have to go to a walk in centre. the doc told me a year ago it might be IBS but its never been like this before. and my belly button never was like this. mostly it dont hurt at all just a little un comfortable sometimes. just never had this lump in belly button so just worried me a bit. i guess i can go next week. in the mean time if it gets bad like i can go to A & E maybe.
Have tried ringing 111for help and advice? I have used them when doctors not open. They have been very good. Let me know how you get on.
I think you should see a doctor about a possible hernia around your belly button area. At the very least - see a doctor about all your symptoms.
so as it turns out i have a small umbilical hernia and they say just leave it alone. but i read that it needs to be operated on
