belly button redness and itchy

I was wondering if anyone can comment on my situation I have a red belly button with a slight itchy around the area have any one had these problems would be much appreciated any comments thanks

It sounds as if you have a fungal infection..you need to get an anti fungal cream...canesten should be ok...cleanse the area and dry it before usi.ng the cream..fungal bacteria thrive in warm moist places so shower everyday dry the area and use the cream morning and evening for a week until infection is gone.....check with your doc first...best wishes

Thinking the same.

And dry your button carefully well after every shower or bath, if need be with a cotton tip and hairdryer (also between toes).

if it is a pierced belly button then it is infected and the same if not.
