Is there any reason why I cannot take green tea with the above medication for high blood pressure
I would not know about green tea, but the medication itself took away all my energy, gave me terrible calf cramps and made me giddy and sick. I am now off it.
I don't know about green tea - why would there be a problem with that? But i do know that a friend who was on Bendroflurmethazide for years eventually developed gout and although she then came off that med the gout is still there and flares up frequently. It is a well know side effect if you read the small print. When I needed medication for hypertension I specifically asked not to be put on that one
Hi Lesley I don't think there's a problem if you take both of them because natural products are more of nutrition more than anything. They are not meant to cure or remedy any illnesses but to add any nutrients you may be short of though the do have a positive impact on your health.
Just don't qiut taking your tablets or use natural products as a substitute for your tablets.
Most drugs are highly toxic and have a tendency of being heavy on the liver or kidneys so stuff like green tea helps to detox such toxins.
