Hi I have been prescribed 3 x beta blockers a day but i have only been taking 2 as I'm now worried that my heart may slow down too much if I take them all, although I feel a lot better taking the 2 a day I am still getting some anxious feelings like chest pains, short breath and feeling sweaty which on a rare occasion only now thankfully can turn in to a panic attack .. now I know that I should that my doctor has given me 3 a day but I don't know if I should take the third or not ... anyone had this experience ? Help and advise please.. thanks x

I take propranolol 10mg 3x a day, which is a low dose but I know people who take 40mg 3x a day. It can take a while to get used to and I sympathise with your worries as I felt the same way but it won't stop your heart. It stops/reduces the adrenaline in your body to help eleviate anxiety symptoms.
Hi sorry should be more accurate - I am supposed to take 3x 40ml propranolol but I'm taking 2 at the moment.
