For years I've had a history of yeast infections, or UTI's. Me and my bf started dating in September of 2015. We didnt have sex for about a month of dating . I had had unprotected sex with a different partner not long before we started hanging out. He gets incarcerated at the end of Feb 2016. He is in jail for 4 months. In the mean time every thing had been just fine or so I thought. (I had actually been to the doctor while we were dating for a yeast infection/kidney infection) well while hes in jail I start having some issues, sores down there. I had never noticed before. There was the occasional thought i cut myself shaving or just had rough sex or panty liner rubbed me raw.. Well he gets out and we have sex, thinking nothing of this. a while I end up getting checked and turns out I have genital herpes. He swears I fooled around on him while he was incarcerated and I absolutely did not. Weeks later he then has a bad outbreak and says I gave him herpes. They very well could have came from me, I've had unprotected sex with more than one person. I thought the annual check up checked for things like this, i was obviously mistaken. So im not sure when or from whom I caught this. But i didn't mess around on my bf. Is there any way that I could have had it previously and the outbreak be so minor I didnt put 2 and 2 together. Right before he came home I was extremely stressed. I've read that stress and menstrual cycles can effect breakouts. And so he caught it from me while I was having a breakout. After he got out of jail? He says it's physically impossible and that i had to of slept with someone. And that didn't happen. Someone please help me so I can explain this to him.
The herpes virus can be dormant for a period of time, weeks, months, or even years. Usually the first outbreak is the worst. It's possible that he could carry the herpes type one virus orally and transmitted it to you during oral sex. I caught GHSV 1 through oral sex; he had no symptoms beforehand. Did you get a swab test and/or a blood test?
You could have had it before and not had or not recognised outbreaks, or is it possible that he had it before or from prison and gave it to you? Did you develop a first outbreak just before your diagnosis? Because if so, I would suspect him, not you.
A got a blood test. Im not denying it may have came from me. I've never been checked. Other than yearly exams but never really noticed anything out of the ordinary.. just didn't know if i could have gave it to him when he got home. Because i was stressed and had an outbreak and then thats how he caught it. I had an outbreak before he came home.. Im assuming due to stress. I just know I haven't been with anyone but him since we got together and he said it's not possible. It clearly has to be.
