Big skin tearing under penis head

For several weeks now I have had an issue where the skin under the glans is peeling/tearing. It doesn't hurt to touch. There is a slight redness on the skin to the left of the tear aswell.

Ps: trying to attach a photo may need help..

Thanks.. theboss

This should help you add images:

If you're using a phone or tablet, you may need to choose the desktop/PC option in your browser.

Also I should add that it hasn't obviously been healing and it keeps gradually getting larger...

ml66uk are you a doctor?

thanks.

I'm not a doctor, and it's not clear from the pic what the problem is, or if there's any problem at all.  A better picture might help.  It's possible you may have balanitis or lichen sclerosus though.

If it is balanitis, case these links might help:

Don't use soap to wash down there, and always take a leak and have a wash after masturbation or sex.  Canesten cream may also help.

If it's lichen scerosus (aka balanitis xerotica obliterans), then these links may help:

https://patient.info/doctor/lichen-sclerosus-pro  (written for doctors)You could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.

If you could update this thread and tell us what the doctors say, it would be appreciated.  Good luck.

Thanks for the detailed reply...

I dont really think its either as none really say about under the glans, where i am affected but talk alot about other areas. Will this heal naturally do you think?

What do you mean by "under the glans"?  If you mean the foreskin, then balanitis (or technically balanoposthitis) or lichen sclerosus are both possibilities.  A picture in sharper focus would help, and if you could say or highlight where the peeling/tearing is happening, that would help too.

I meant below the head where the skin is

By under the glans i mean below, where the head meets the skin but the problem is there isnt any skin as you can see in the photo and instead its looks like flesh. Is this normal or is this something to worry about? Thanks

It looks unusual, but I don't think it's something to worry about.  Peeling or tearing would be something to worry about though, but I can't actually see any evidence of that.  Another pic might help.
