Has anyone been told they have ibs but it turns out it is bile acid malabsorption? Done quite a lot of research about it and apparently it is similar to ibs but easy to know with a trial of medication. I've done everything to help reduce this diarrhoea and nothing is helping. I am seeing my specialist a week today so will ask more about it then but just wondering if anyone's knows much more?
Demandez à votre médecin un scanner SECHAT (scintigraphie) qui détecte la BAM. Si vous en êtes atteint, on vous prescrira un médicament pour contrôler la diarrhée.

Just out of curiosity when you say diarrea are you talking about wTery diarrea or just soft stools? I've had soft not large stools after a bacteria infection 7i months ago nothing really seems to work but bland chicken or fish pumpkin and potatoes helps a bit. The gastro doctor spoke about normafibre to bulk up stools.

On m'a diagnostiqué cette condition (que j'appelle bam pour faire court) il y a plusieurs années et je prends quotidiennement des sachets de colestyramine pour la contrôler, ce qui atténue considérablement les symptômes de diarrhée quotidienne, de douleurs abdominales, d'irritation rectale et de gargouillis bruyants dans le ventre. x
