Hi everyone, i was diagnosed with bile acid malabsorption 5 years back i use to get loose watery stool. what do you think causes this condition?
I feel like it is caused by a over worked liver.
It can be caused by gallbladder removal leaving the liver to do all the work the gallbladder once did. Were you given medication to regulate your bile salts? Your doctor can prescribe it.
Are you currently taking any medication or supplements?
my liver was producing excessive bile acid but my gallbladder fine i was given Cholestyramine.
yes i was taking Cholestyramine
Did it work?
The medicine helpped controlling the diarrhea but my liver kept on producing excessive amount of bile acid.
Was your liver checked.
