After a couple of years with very wet poo and diarrhoea I have been diagnosed with BAM after a sehcat test.
Specialist prescribed Questran powder, 2 sachets a day. After 3 weeks it is hit and miss. Sometimes my poo is firm others its as bad as before. Plus the powder makes me feel sick and nauseas. My GP says that she cant prescribe Colesevelam tablets nor Colestipol. Only the specialist can prescribe these but I do not see him for another 5 months.
I was wondering if any other GP was prescibing either of these 2 binders.
Thanks
See a different GP and ask for a different medication since Questran is not consistently working and is causing you side effects.
i actually trust my GP and would not want to go behind her back that is why I was wondering if others are being prescribed them .
