To cut a long story short I had my gallbladder removed by open surgery in August , I’m now almost 8 weeks post op and i also had a bile duct drain inserted as I had stones in there. my surgeon who has been absolutely amazing left my t tube drain in for 7 weeks. i had it removed only 4 days ago which was horrendous as i had expected. unfortunately for me hours later I started shaking uncontrollably and was vomiting bile all through the night. Naturally, i was extremely worried and contacted my surgeon who advised me that it was an episode of cholangitis.!! I would like to know if anybody else has experienced this and if so how long afterwards did you feel unwell . ?
