Always wondered if it is gallbladder making me binge. I have an inoperable gallbladder due to position ie Hanging over liver. Had 4 ercps last year. Have had uncontrollable binges for years of which I liken to the feeling of a cold coming on. Could this be remedied with diet. My diet now,since last year is almost fat free but just since last year. Binges have been ongoing for years. I also have PCOS. I am 59yrs/female.
Sorry, I'm not sure what you meant by binges? In the US it means that you eat or drink to excess. Would you please clarify? Thank you xx
Sorry Lynda. Food Binges are when one eats to excess. I wondered if gall bladder causing this,read this somewhere.
Hi, Franka, thanks for the info. You know, I don't think that having gallbladder issuses does, largely because people who have gallbladder disease tend to have pain, nausea, vomiting and/or diarrehea after they eat, especially "comfort" foods. So I would think that binging would not be attractive. If one hasn't had an attack for awhile, the urge to eat heavily might arise. Just human nature. I do know that having PCOS means that your hormones are all out of order, so if anything could trigger the desire to binge, that could be it.
Thankyou Lynda but 'jury out' on this as have read about it. Unfortunately can still crave and eat as long as GB friendly foods. You are right with PCOS.
