Hi does anyone know how long do you have to wait for biopsy results in Uk? Its biopsies taken at the upper endoscopy. I was told 2 months. is this right.

I have my colonoscopy/endoscopy soon… surely it cant be 2 months!

99% as soon as something pop up it can be 5 days… as its get priority… the longer you wait the better..i mean the less worry…

When will I receive the results of my endoscopy?

Under most circumstances, the examining physician will inform the patient of the test results or the probable findings prior to discharge from the recovery area. The results of biopsies or cytology usually take 72-96 hours and the doctor may only give the patient a presumptive diagnosis pending the definitive one, after the microscopic examination of the biopsies.
