My Dr. recently put me on Seasonique to help with lessening my periods to 4 times a year because my monthly period is a nightmare due to my fibroids. It usually lasts about 8 days with 2-3 days of heavy bleeding. I was taking Natazia and it was helpful during the month because I never had breakthrough bleeding but it had different levels of hormones and made me so moody and I gained weight on it. I've been on Seasonique for 3 weeks now and have been bleeding, spotting, cramping, bloated, emotional, and had a few headaches. I know it takes time for the body to adjust to new pills but I've been miserable on these. I'm not sure if they are strong enough for my fibroid bleeding and I'm concerned that if my bleeding doesn't stop I will become anemic again. My doctor told me to give it a couple more weeks to see if there is an improvement. Does anyone have any recommendations for birth control pills that have worked for you and your fibroid symptoms? hi poor mzmays wonder how big is your fibroid? Did your GP didn't recommend to remove it? What age are you?

I'm 42 years old. I have 4 fibroids...the biggest one is 5cm. I am trying to avoid any surgeries or procedures right now. I've been seeing a wholistic doctor and taking supplements and herbs to help shrink them. I'm just wanting to see if anyone has any suggestions on birth control pills that help with heavy bleeding.
