Hi all today ventured out walked a bit farther for first time in weeks. Was so happy but wen freind dropped me home we stopped oiff to get groceries I waited in the car and a horrible doom and gloom suddenly came over me which thankfully disappeared but is this classic symptom, not nice for me. Thanks all

how long have you had anxiety for?
Some years ago. Then on and off last year or so following 3 close bereavements which all caught up with me 5 weeks ago is it any wonder I ask !
You did GREAT! Keep pushing yourself. So proud. Believe with everything you have that even with setbacks you are moving forward.there will be setbacks and you will be tested by the symptoms but you can over ride it manually. Might take some time to calm it down but you are in the successful process of retraining your brain so dont give in to this.
I'm the same way. I had my first hard struggle with anxiety years ago, and i was good for nearly five or so years with only minor issues, but the death of a close friend and a few other circumstances triggered it badly again.
is this similar for you?
Hi I think that's what triggered anxiety but it hasn't hit me till recently because I had so much to do and had to keep going sorting affairs out I did notice when I had done most of the paperwork etc I felt lost and thought what do I do now. I also had no counselling to offload was trying to manage on my own and clearly was struggling. I got health issues also recently and am going for counselling soon. Fingers crossed when I offload my problems will ease in time.
I think they can definitely get better over time!
When do you start counselling?
