Black brown spot on nipple

Male 60 For about a year now every now and then after a shower drying myself when i rubbed the towel over my nipple it felt like it was getting ripped off but could never see anything.

Last night it happened again so looked again all i could see was a black brownish dot like a small skin tag,
so i picked it off no pain no blood nothing and it was really hard like a dry scam and was wondering if anyone els had this before or what it could of been.
