Hi ladies I am thing of trying black cohosh for my menopause do any of you use it and what are the benefits and do you have any side effects with it please
I used Black Cohosh for my menopause symptoms along with another over the counter called estroven. Both helped I don't remember any side effects.
When menopause got really rough I went on Paxil for a year and weaned off with no problems.

Well, it's known to help the uterus work efficiently, so I can't see it doing any harm.
If it doesn't work you could try blue cohosh. See a homoeopath, because there are lots of remedies for the menopause and they have to be specifically prescribed by a qualified homoeopath.

thank you Tess for that information I'm a lover of alternative remedies where ever possible I'm also looking at the right alternatives to come off my citalopram too very soon so its trial and error at the moment to see what will work for me best thank you once again
