Bleeding 2 weeks post anterior and posterior repair

I had my op almost 2 weeks ago. I've been resting, trying to follow all the rules (I keep forgetting and bending down to pick stuff up).

A few days ago I wallet the house but while out did only a little walking (pottering) and mostly sitting with some standing. But obviously too much as had pain Sat evening.

Today I've had some pinkish/watery discharge which I read is normal. However this evening I've had some proper red bleeding. Not enough to consider a pad, but more than I would consider spotting.

Is this OK? Within the realms of normal? A sign I've done too much? I'm constantly anxious that I will jeopardise the whole surgery. But I also have two children (husband doing everything) and resting is harder than I thought!

Can anyone reassure or advise?

Just rest up more for a few days. If it's only a slight blood loss you should be ok but speak to your hospital ward or clinic if you're worried. If you can get hold of one of those grabber tools we 'elderly' folk use to pick up with, they are very useful. I wouldn't be without mine. lol wink It is easy to forget but you must rest if you want to have a good result. X Poll smile

Thanks. It turned out to be my period. Should probably have realised given I'm 36!
