Wondering if someone can help.
I recently had the implant fitted (27th Dec) and have had light spotting which I was told would be normal. However I have had sex with my boyfriend on a few occasions when not bleeding and have experienced bleeding after. I’ve been to a clinic and have been tested for STIs ect and test results were fine. Can anyone tell me if this is a side effect from the implant? I have searched on the internet and a few women have experienced this too 😩
I never bled after sex with the implant. But it can be but i would get a pap if you havent already juts to be on the safe side.

I would speak to your GP and ask their advice. It does seem a little strange that you are bleeding after intercourse and it could be something really simple but check with your GP first.

Where you on birth control before the implant? You could have an erosion . i would go to see if you have a cervical polyp those are quite common and can cause you to bleed after sex as well as an infection. Since your under 25 i doubt its anything serious. Have you checked if its not from cuts? When i had rough sex with my ex. (We didnt use protection) he would cut my vag with his D and it would sting when i would pee and a little blood would come from the cut but other than that no bleeding.
I was on the pill before but came off it in April. Yeah I’ve checked that but there wasn’t anything. The bleeding after sex seems to have stopped now 🤔 thank you for your advice
