Hello I started combined hrt (Estradiol gel + micronised progesterone) just a bit over 3 weeks ago and have already had 2 epidodes of bleeding/heavy period which last 3 to 4 days (I am 54 and haven’t had any periods for over 18 months) I know that hrt can cause some spotting/bleeding, but can anyone enlighten me on this? Will the bleeding stop? I am due for a review with my doctor in mid-June Thanks
Hi yes this is happening to me. I wear a patch and take oral progesterone.
