Hi, I had an endometrial ablation 5 weeks ago and a copper coil put in under local. I did not want a mirena coil because of the progesterone as hormones make me down and I suffer from severe migraines. Although the procedure was very painful (under local) there was the usual bleeding, serous fluid for 3 weeks.
Then I started to have some a small amount of bleeding and pain. I thought this was a period and was ok with that. However, several days later I had tremendous bleeding taking me to hospital. I stayed in overnight and they gave me Progesterone to stop bleeding and of course I had a horrific migraine and had to stop them. I continue to bleed day 7 not as heavily as last week but substantial and am taking Mefenamic Acid which is clotting some of it. They want me to have mirena coil but I don't and can see that the ablation has done nothing in fact the bleeding has been worse than before. Any ideas please????
