has any one else had this ? Other visible scar healing well, had lots of pain in the last 3-4 days and now I am oozing thick bloody fluid. Dr says doesn't look infected, has covered with a dressing, taken a swab, but does not seem concerned which I guess is a good thing, but it's one more thing to deal with!
Hi just saw this and nobody replied to you. This does not sound normal at all. How are things now? Maybe the stitiches were not good enough. I myself would have phoned the ward and gone back to hospital for a second opinion.

It was the hospital dr that looked at it initially. a week later they sent a letter saying infected. by which time I had already been to see nurse at GP, who I saw every 2-3 days for a fornight to be redressed as it oozed continually finally given antibiotics and it has now cleared up. Surgeon wrote a letter detailing all bugs swab showed about a fortnight after - which took a week to reach me - after I was seen and already finishing antibiotiocs! they move so slowly.
