Bleeding on Premphase- concerned

I’ve been on some type of Estrogen pills for several years now. The doctor recently decided to put me on Premphase a couple of months ago. Towards the end of the first month I started bleeding some. Its been going on for a week and a half now. To make things worse, the pharmacy did not have my refill in time and I missed a day, after I started bleeding.

The nurse at the doctor’s office suggested I used Ibuprofen to stop the bleeding but I haven’t been able to take it every 6 hours, its more like every 12 so it’s not really any better, but I don’t know if its because I haven’t taken it like I should or not.

I am concerned because everything I read about Premphase says I am not supposed to be bleeding at all. I don’t remember missing a dose, other than when the pharmacy caused me to.

Does anyone here have any experience with this? I know I should see the doctor if it doesn’t stop soon, but even they didn’t seem too concerned- I however am worried like crazy.

bleeding in meno is common especially if you switch hrt to balance , never heard take ibuforen to stop bleeding that new to me ??
i have had bleeding on off for 3 years as switch from hormone pills to patch and getting a progesterone that suits me so i bleed spot almost most of the time but my consultant has done scan just to check as you should ,just really to put your mind at rest i am sure all ok as happens all the time and will settle in time ..hope this helps

Thank you, sorry for the late response. It finally stopped. I think my vacation and the fact that Walgreens didn’t have my prescription for the refill done in time really messed things up.
