bleeding stopped but pain - should I ignore?

Hi

I had some bleeding and lower abdominal pain for a couple of days.  I feel a bit relieved because the bleeding has stopped but the pain is still there.  What I'm wondering is if bleeding can be intermittent or needs to be constant to qualify as a symptom.  Should I get it checked out?

always go to a doc  when you feel something isn't right!

That is what I would do!

Any rectal bleeding should be evaluated asap. If they cannot determine a cause then please request a colonoscopy. Better safe than sorry.
