After having no period for over 14 months, this week I have had bleeding now just slight for 3 days, Why is this happening? I thought it was the end of bleeding
Hi Caroline! I’m 57 and in menapause. I saw my menapause specialist doc often. Very very common when you start perimenapause. At 52 I didnt have a period for 3 months then cam back for 1 month then didn’t have it for 6 months and came back for a month then like yourself didn’t get it for about a year and got it back just like one week. Then nothing....my doc said this is normal. Your just not completely done. He told me to just be a little concerned once your really in menapause way after a year and start bleeding. Come in for precaution. all normal Caroline but I would definitely call you doc and just let him/her know what’s going on, it’s all so different for everyone of us. Try to stay chill and keep talking to your doc during this lovely😩journey! Lol Be well!
Well its not, I went one time 18 months and then another 2 years woke up flooding! Yes I had all the test done. Thank God all was okay but it happens, see I thought I was long through menopause BUT according to blood work I wasn't even though I went those long strips of NO periods AT ALL. My GYN said some eggs lay doormat some for years and whenever they decide to drop well you will bleed.
I just noticed Monday slight spotting but thought it was something else. Then this morning I noticed it again and it was spotting after I believe three years with NO cycle. I am not experiencing any pain in my breast or abdominal area at all. I've been very tired lately but that's it and horrible hot flashes.
I am in full menopause based on my blood work from last check-up. Not really concerned as I have been under some stress to losing my job from bankruptcy, searching for a new one with no success. If it continues I will make an appointment just to be sure everything is ok. Based on some of the comments in this forum this is normal.
Caroline, see your doc as a precaution!
Everyone is different. Xo
