I've had type 2 herpes for 4/5 months now and have had several outbreaks since but, touch wood, I've not had one in a while. I've never had a cold sore on my mouth, only genital sores. Recently I noticed a small cluster of blisters on the top of my inner thigh. I've read this can be herpes related. Has anyone experienced this?
Hi Teegs, yes I have had small cluster of blisters on the top of my inner thigh and yes, it's definitely herpes related.
So what tablets were you on and what dosage did you take for herpes 2? Seemed to have worked for you, mine just doesn't go away. I have to take tablets every single day and still get headaches, abdo/pelvis pain and of course vulva pain.
Well, take care and don't stress.
I take aciclovir tablets only when I'm having a flare up. The dr never offered me medication to take daily. He blisters were very sore yesterday and the day before but they seem to have dried up today and don't hurt. Can they appear anywhere on the body?
Also, are they contagious?
That isn’t Herpes related; it is Herpes. You have Genital Herpes Simplex.
I know I do. But I didn't know I could get blisters on my legs from it.
When you say leg you may mislead readers. You should really be more specific in order to get accurate replies.
However, when you say ‘’on you legs’’ I know that you are referring to one leg and I also know that you are referring to an area on your inner upper thigh, your right thigh within 4/5’’ from your groin area. This is where the Lymph Node glands are located and this is the Herpes Virus attacking the Lymph Node.
There is a high probability that you will also have an outbreak on your genitals also.
If you wish to educate yourself; look up Lymph glands and their role in the human body.
Cheers.
I said on my inner thigh on my original post. Thanks, I'll look.
