I feel so uncomfortable since my gallbladder surgery. I am trier of feeling bloated. Gas products haven't worked. I am afraid to mix to many products. Has anyone else found a solution. The don't tell you any of this before surgery.
Are you having diarrhea? If so, ask your physician for Cholestyramine...it is a powder you mix with water or juice and drink before meals. It is a game changer and even helps with bloating, I think. No, they don't tell you much but I had mine out 15 years ago and STILL have complications. Just found a new gastro doctor who has told me to take Pepcid 20 mg twice a day and I have been doing that for 5 days now and it IS helping. It isn't a prescription, so give it a try. Will help with the gas and bloating! The Cholestyramine can cause constipation, but if you are having diarrhea, that will be a welcome side effect, or anyway, it was for me. You can always use Metamucil to keep yourself regular, along with the Cholestyramine. Honestly, it will change your life. If you are in pain (I have a lot of pain where my gallbladder used to be), the gastro guy said I can take 6 Tylenol a day and that it is a safe drug for your kidneys, unlike Advil or Aleve. Good luck. It will get better but it will also be something you have to deal with for the rest of your life. Don't eat super greasy foods and for me, I can't eat super spicy foods, but that may not bother you...the grease will, for sure.
don't you have bloating or burping before gallbladder removal ? if yes, then i think it should take some time to settle down. I got lot of bloating and burping everyday, i got gallstones, not removed my gb yet.
