hi i got a hip replacment because hip dislepsia

can i still be a blood donnor

You must feel so happy !!! I never thought how THR might effect the blood ... How are you doing otherwise?  big hug

Hi Moi, You cannot donate blood for a minimum of 6months after THR, longer if you had complications. If you get a letter to go then give them a call, above is for UK so might be different if you live in a different country.

Not for a minimum of 6 months post op, never if you need a transfusion yourself
