Hello I was in hospital earlier today for upper back pain and I had ecgs done, blood pressure checked. X-ray done. Also had a blood test done that required 3 tubes for it, I'm just wondering would this of been a full blood count blood test? Forgot to ask her and it's just bugging me. She just explained to me that we are looking for signs of inflammation
I went to hospital last Friday with anxiety and chest pains, I too had a blood test and they took 3 test tubes of blood and when I asked what they check for, they said 'everything' infection, inflammation, organ function etc so don't be alarmed that they took so much, I hope your results are all good
Usually standard blood tests. Thats a good indicator. All the basics, chem scan and electrolyte stuff,They probably do c reactive too for inflammation markers. Some tests take one tube so they need a few.
