Blood tests for herpes

Hi, can anyone let me know how you can test whether you have antibodies for  herpes I or II in blood tests ? I have had the coldsore virus for over 20 years. The bloods came back negative/positive. Any thoughts anyone.  I wanted to know really whether i had genital herpes really.I have no symptoms but do suffer from pudendal neuralgia pain and think there is a connection.

I have pain in the same area.. I was actually just viewing diagrams of our nerves in that area. Can you be more descriptive w your symptoms?

I have burning and sensitivity in the sexual organs.  Have had this condition for nearly 11 years.  Had all the tests imagineable, its been a nightmare.  I am trying to rule everything out and thats why i had the  blood test for Herpes, but still none the wiser at the moment.
