Hi there, looking for some advice please 😊

Would a blood test show up serious illness like cancer, brain tumour and ms? My anxiety is playing up big time tonight and I can't shift the feeling I'm dyin tho blood tests all normal Nd doc thinks it's anxiety and prescribed citalopram.

Your dr is right , sadly no amount of reassurance will lessen your worry - that's just how health anxiety works. Best to treat your anxiety with meds and or therapy and these fixations will lessen

You are not dying. Thats why your bloodwork is good. You are filled with fear and anxiety. Probably sleep deprived as well. Why dont you try what the doctor gave you. It can only get better

Thanks for reply 😊 I have been referred for CBT therapy so hopefully they take me and started on citalopram but feel they making me worse. I just want my life back and 1 day where I can spend with my daughter where I don't think I'm dying of a brain tumour. Every day I find new symptoms that tie in with having a brain tumour! Is this normal?😊

Thanks for reply 😊 Would my blood work be off if I had a serious illness? I have taken it this is 5th day if citalopram and feel worse but dr said keep takin it

Let your dr worry about your health, which he isn't. The more you look for reassurance,the more you'll keep looking,so try not to

Yes. I never used that medicine so i have no experience to give advice on it, but it seems the first few weeks of any of them escate anxiety then they kick and it calms down.
