I've been on citralopram for 3 weeks and have a rash on my arms and back wbuch dies not hurt. Also sporadic burning sensation in palms of hands. Anxiety continual with no let up. I am on 10mg and doc tells me to stick with it for another 2 weeks. Has anyone else had these side effects and if so did they go eventually?
Hi there. I can't remember having any rashes or burning but the side effects of cit are so numerous, it more than likely is something to do with that. As for the anxiety, that is completely normal. It took probably 6 months for that to go completely for me but not all of that time was it unbearable! I would say check with your doc regarding the rash and burning but you will probably get better advice on here, from people who are taking the cit! Keep going though and gradually you will get better x
Hi - have told doc about rash and other stuff - she says stick with it and prescribed cream for the rash - which had no effect whatsoever. I have to see her in 2 weeks by which time I will be 5 weeks on cit. I have chronic insomnia and only get some sleep with zoplicone which doc is more and more reluctant to prescribe. And of course, the effect of that is beginning to wear off and I have to take more! Just hope that all this will be worth it in the end. Am doing some therapy too which is what my doc prefers to drugs.
