Has anyone had the release surgery what was your outcome ?
You are not the first to say you are having surgery please tell me where you live . My dr says there is no surgery for this. I live in London. Two drs have said this to me. I hope it all goes well for you.
Bonjour Anna, j'ai subi cette intervention il y a 10 semaines et je suis vraiment contente de l'avoir faite après des années de douleur et d'avoir essayé tous les traitements disponibles. J'ai été orientée vers un hôpital privé car le NHS m'a dit qu'ils ne pouvaient pas le traiter car il s'agit d'une chirurgie très spécialisée. J'ai eu un chirurgien merveilleux qui me traite depuis deux ans et la chirurgie n'a pas été prise à la légère, mais j'avais toute confiance en mon chirurgien qui se spécialise dans la PF. J'ai obtenu d'excellents résultats de ma chirurgie et je ferai opérer mon autre pied plus tard dans l'année lorsque je me serai complètement remise de celle-ci.
Mon conseil est de consulter un spécialiste pour obtenir des conseils, car les chirurgiens généralistes ne savent pas assez sur les problèmes comme vous le pensez, et c'est un chirurgien général qui m'a orientée vers un spécialiste privé qui peut vous donner de bons conseils sur la façon de traiter le problème. Il existe de nombreuses histoires sur la PF, mais chacun est très différent et ce qui peut fonctionner pour certains ne fonctionne pas pour d'autres, faites attention à qui vous écoutez. J'espère que vous serez bientôt réglée, car je sais à quel point cela peut être frustrant de vivre avec, j'en ai eu pendant environ 4 ans maintenant et cela affecte tous les aspects de votre vie quotidienne. Prenez soin de vous.

Very appreciative for your reply, yes I have seen a very good orthopedic surgeon who deals with this type of problem, tendons ligaments etc .. I had the cortisone injection as well and they told me I had inflamed bursa with the PF.. nothing has worked and I to have had it for years this is my second bout of it and it won't now settle ... where do u reside and did u have the open or arthroscope procedure? How was your recovery? I am a lil concerned about it ... my other foot is starting to become strained now it has been fine for years .. it's definitely stops u living and we are now on a beautiful property finally with all my horses lots of work ..

I live in Australia on a big property and most people here who have this condition get some relief from
conservative treatments.. it does however come back and then won't respond and this is what's happened .. my last hope for some relief is the surgery .. how are you going with this issue? Cheers
I have had no relive but drs say there is no operation. So what can I do it is the second time around
For me had injections,and not work. I live in london. Sorry this in 2parts but pressed the wrong key and it was sent before I had finished.
Hi again I have a friend who lives in London and she has it and is getting some relief having shockwave therapy ... she has had 3 treatments and is having another 3 she told me .. I asked my surgeon about it he said it's a placebo effect so it doesn't last but hey give it a go i was told it's a bit uncomfortable but ur already are so why not ..
I sympathise with you it stops u doing what u want to do .. keep in touch ok will keep u posted after surgery ..

J'ai eu une fasciite plantaire (PF) depuis environ 4 ans maintenant et j'ai essayé tous les sorts de traitements.
J'ai eu une thérapie par ondes de choc, des injections de cortisone, de l'acupuncture et j'ai subi une fasciotomie plantaire en février. Je mène une vie très occupée à la ferme, ce qui, comme vous pouvez l'imaginer, me maintient debout pendant de nombreuses heures dans la journée, ce qui est excrucient. J'ai eu toutes sortes de traitements sous mon hôpital local du NHS, mais j'ai ensuite été référée à un hôpital privé pour consulter un chirurgien podologue spécialiste qui se spécialise dans la PF. Comme la plupart des spécialistes ne comprennent pas la PF. J'ai obtenu des résultats incroyables de ma chirurgie après avoir porté une botte pendant 8 semaines et utilisé des béquilles pendant 6 semaines. Je commence maintenant à revenir à la normale avec une légère douleur au site de la chirurgie qui continue de s'améliorer. Mon conseil est de continuer à chercher jusqu'à ce que vous trouviez un chirurgien qui connaît et se spécialise dans la PF pour vous assurer que c'est bien ce que vous avez avant tout traitement. C'est différent pour chacun, mais je suis vraiment heureuse d'avoir trouvé mon chirurgien qui fera mon autre pied plus tard dans l'année. Bonne chance.
Hi Anne, I have also had plantar fascia release surgery, just before Angela did. I was hoping more people would reply having said they had had the surgery! I had both feet done and I am almost 6 months post op. I have had a lot of trouble with nerve pain shooting up my left leg. I had quite a different recovery plan to Angela as I was not in a boot or crutches and was told to weight bare after 24 hours. I am on Amitriptaline for nerve pain now which has helped but my right foot still has PF pain but not as bad. Is felt like I had no choice but to give the operation a chance. I would say if you have tried everything and you have had it a long time ( I had/have had it for 10 years) and its the last option then go for it. Good luck x

Oh having it in both feet must be awful I have a slight pulling feeling that has started in my good foot now .. thinking it's had to work more to support the other .. it's weird as I started wearing those nobbly masseur massage sandals that hurt and my foot feels better .. am just over a wk out for surgery and am wondering if I should go ahead with it .. Was ur surgery done with the arthroscope? I have been told it's not as long to recover the surgeon i have seen only does the open .. I am now in doubt and think possibly shld seek the arthroscope procedure what are yours thoughts ? Appreciate it anne
