Botox injection for anal fissures

hello i am a 28 year old female..

i started having anal fissures from early November'17 due to severe emotional stress..

my fissures did not heal by itself and 28th December i went thru a Botox injection.

my colorectal surgeon also prescribed fiber drink and meds to keep my stool soft

the following are my observations post surgery with indication of pain level:

D1 - felt a dull ache (2/10)

D2 - dull ache subsided (0/10) and by evening i felt extreme pain (7/10)

D3 - extreme &stinging & crackish pain subsided abit, walking was tough (6.5/10)

D4 - pain subsided (3/10)

D5 - pain subsided (3/10)

D6 - pain subsided (3/10) but by evening the extreme & stinging & craskish pain started to build up (7/10)

D7 (today/posting date) - the extreme & stinging & craskish pain is still there..

my stool has been soft due to fiber drink, but the fiber drink has caused me to have bowel movements  more than 2 times per day.. i went 4 times on D5.. i suspect that too frequent bowel movements despite soft stool will cause the fissure to tear up as well.. hence im alternating my fiber drink everyday..

i wonder how long it takes to heal after Botox injection..

i have been severely depressed and down.. i try to cheer myself up, but.. physical pain is smthing i could not tolerate hence it is eating me up inside and out..

please everyone, if you had Botox injections due to anal fissures, please do share me your experience..

I developed fissure in April, after trying creams, fiber, and muscle relaxers had Botox in June. It made things worse for about a month, after about 3 months I felt I was managing the pain (with the help of 4 advils 3x a day, starting before my first bm each morning). Pain finally went away completely but GI said fissure was still there. Explained that typically symptoms go away first then the fissure heals. Unfortunatly I got an abcess and fistula so had to have the surgery - did that Dec 6. Everything seemed to be back to normal, just this week started to have mild discomfort again. I see the GI doc Tuesday. Not sure if this info helps. All I can say is that the road to recovery is not a straight line, but people are amazingly resilient and the body wants to heal. So don't give up!

benn78, thanks so much for ur reply.. sobss...okie i will hang in thr..u r right, recovery will nt be a straight line.. n our human body was made to heal..

Do you have lump and straight line fissures beside in anus? I have like that, diet a lot fiber, soft food and chicken, plenty water, avoid spicy food and exercise in swimming pool like running ,squatting  all things in motion. my doctor recommend Botox, but I did not want it, because I afraid it worse than before. I take medicates Nitroglycerin 0.4% and Lidocaine 5% ointment and hydrocortisone 2.5% ointment. It good for me and heal slowly.
