I am sorry if this offends any one But has anyone had very thin bowel motions . Mine have become thin in the last few weeks.I do habe IBS .x

Never had thin bowel movements. If they are thin like string, with or without abdominal pain cramps you are probably best to get them checked at your doctors. Could be infection but also other things as well.

Hi Joyce. That's good to know they are not like string. Depending on what you eat can also have this effect on your stools. I have IBS and am suffering a lot of different odd symptoms at the moment. Persistent discomfort in upper abdomen, radiates to the right side and left side then settles back above my belly button. Am due a test for HPylori. I also have a very wide variety of stools. Long, fat, thin, dark, pale, normal etc etc etc. It's a nuisance. Good luck with your investigations.

I have the problem with the upper abdomial pain going from one side to the other.I have been tested for HPylori and it was clear. I am having tests now for motility of the bowel to see if the food is going through ok
