Hello!
hoping someone has had this experience and can offer some advice.
I had a Laparoscopy for possible Endometriosis on tuesday this week. When i came round, the first thing the surgeon did was apologise to me, during the procedure they’d cut my bowel and had to call the bowel specialist to repair it (what should have been a 50 minute procedure ending up being 2 hours).
They assured me it had been repaired, showed me images of the internal stitches and ‘tested’ it to make sure they didnt leak.
I’m 3 days post op, and they told me to expect cramping after the procedure which ive had, but on and off ive been experiencing really bad shooting pains in/around my vaginal area and in my stomach that catch me off guard and stop me in my tracks. I’ve been nauseous since, and really dont want to (and havent) eaten much just because i cant stomach it. I’ve not experienced fever as such but i have had a couple of episodes of ‘hot flushes’.
Are these symptoms normal to laparoscopy recovery or should i get them looked into?
