how's it going my anxiety buddies. Hope all is well.Just wanted to follow up from my last discussion where I was pretty anxious in thinking the worse. I followed up with my doctor today and told him everything I was experiencing the headaches, ears feeling full, neck tension, tingling feet and side of my face. All these symptoms happen when I think about it. Sometimes I can be sitting down Watching tv and don't feel any discomfort until something reminds me of it then boom it's back. I been on vacation this week so I been dragging myself out of the house to go out with friends and have a few drinks and im my old self again. I know that's no way to live always drinking but it took my mind of my symptoms. So anyways my doctor checked me out and said I'm healthy inside and out (I guess he probably tired of seeing me) he told me to stop worrying and just relax and stay away from google. it's reassuring to hear the doctor say I'm healthy. Right now I still have the full feeling in my ears. I asked him should I get some type of medication he told me No that I'm too young to depend on meds. So if I don't go on meds I'm thinking atleast I should see a psychiatrist just to talk to someone. Because I know soon the same symptom or the new ones will come back and I ll be back on the same trip. Any sugesstion?
Wow have you tried seing a dentist that does surgeries, even thise that oull out wisodom teeth they have the skill for this. They make soft splints too for people with tmj (clenching teeth whilst sleep or when anxious)which is what i think you have an issue with. Read thru a tmj board youll see similarities.Nothing to do with a brain tumor. Anxiety causes the tmj. As it does so many ither things as well. But this one they can help you out with.
Here this is copied and pasted...TMJ (JAW JOINT) DISORDERS
It has been estimated that more than 50 million people in Canada and the U.S. suffer from severe headaches. These headaches can be so debilitating that they can adversely affect their ability to work and their relationships with family and friends.
Although there can be many reasons for headaches, many headache patients suffer from temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ disorders). The most common symptoms include:
Headaches, Dizziness, Stiffness in jaw joint, Ear aches, Ear fullness, Ringing in the ears, Teeth do not touch when biting, Neck pain, Pain behind the eyes, Problem swallowing, , Shoulder or back pain, Tingling or numbness of fingers, Clicking jaw, Inability to open mouth wide, Clenching/grinding teeth, Worn teeth
One of the two most common of the fears anxiety provokes is.....I'm afraid I have a brain tumor, second is heart attacks, and third is strokes. All anxiety COMMON symptoms.
If you feel that talking to a psychiatrist will help, go for it. He can not only verify the condition, he can prescribe an anti anxiety if needed...even for a little while.
Yeah my first anxiety was chest pain right away thought heart attack and now this lol... yeah I will set up an appointment with a psychiatrist hopefully ease my mind. Thanks for your reply.
My sister had such migrains she was almost bedridden for months. Went to dentist, got tmj taken care of and has no other problems. Lisa is,as usual, right on target.
