Breast Cancer worry! Still!

I have worried about breast cancer since noticing an indention in my right breast 2 years ago. I've had mammograms and ultrasound that all came back normal with benign findings. I still can't shake the feeling that they've missed something. I went back to the breast doctor but saw her nurse practitioner and she ordered another mammogram and ultrasound and those have both come back normal with benign findings. I should be able to drop the fear right? Right! But the last week I've had itching in that same breast and I can't quit worrying that they've missed something again. She told me they don't associate itching with cancer but I've read so many places that women with breast cancer have experienced itching. There's also a cancer that doesn't always show on imaging. Two actually. ILC and IBC. Neither of them show a lump, they grow in sheets and one grows in the skin, causing itching, redness, dimpling, increase in breast size, and warmth. It's very aggressive and only diagnosed through a punch biopsy which a dermatologist does. I have pain in my whole right side on my upper body and a feeling like something i stuck under my right rib. I'm convinced it's from breast cancer. I've used hydrocortisone cream and benadryl for the last week and it hasn't helped the itching. I go tomorrow for a CT of my abdomen and I'm terrified they're going to find cancer in my liver that has metastisized from breast cancer that hasn't been found. I'm so scared and just wish I could get control of my anxiety. I'm starting therapy after thanksgiving and my primary care doctor doubled the dose of my wellbutrin to 200mg on Monday. I just want to feel better.

unfortunately, your health anxiety has taken control. I’m sorry you are going through this, but you were looking at the rarest situations and applying them to yourself.
If you had that very aggressive type of breast cancer, you would be very ill by now because you said you notice the indentation two years ago. Aggressive breast cancer works very fast.
Please go to therapy and keep going even when you start to feel better. fear can wrap itself around your mind and make your life miserable! I have been there and it’s no fun. All your testing indicates that you are fine.
ive had itching of one breast for years. I’m perfectly fine.it has nothing to do with breast cancer .
Don’t search for things, you you’re overthinking this. I did the same thing.
take care and relax!

Do you still have a gallbladder? I wonder if it could be your gallbladder playing up. Regardless let us know how your CT scan goes.
Good luck

I do still have my gallbladder. I have to go through a gallbladder ultrasound and have an endoscopy before they’ll take it out. When I had the hidascan 4 years ago, it was functioning at 34%. The doctor said he wouldn’t take it out until I ruled out h pylori or a hernia or whatever else it could be. I’ve had pain in the front, back, shoulder, and my side which is what throws me because I haven’t seen anyone mention pain in their side from it so I am so afraid it’s coming from my liver. I know I’m letting my mind run away with me but I can’t help it. I had liver function labs done and they all came back good, and the breast doctor said those would come back abnormal if I had cancer that spread to the liver. So why can’t I just believe her?!

Hi , do you drink caffeine , sodas or coffee ? Caffeine can cause lumps ( indentations ) in your breast . Caffeine can also make you hurt along with sorness in places . Actually caffeine can cause lumps in all parts of your body . Cancer is also detected in blood labs . If your doctor hasnt found any abnormalities chances are you are cancer free . Try to get tour mind off of this a few days , your symptoms may just go away . Here are some ideas to get your mind off … Redecorate your home ,move furniture in different poses . Prep for Christmas , you and kids make homemade ornaments . Visits friends ,go shopping , enjoy the sunshine ,fresh air . If you sit and believe you are sick ( hurting ) you will hurt …

When i was having pain from my gallbladder this is where i got pain. All under my right side from breast to back and between shoulders and sometimes it would spread across to the left side as well. But yes h.pylori can cause that type of pain too, a simple breath test or stool test can tell you if you have it or not and endoscopy as well and it will show ulcers if its caused them as well. I only had sludge and small stones in my gallbladder but it gave me so much hell the dr agreed to take it out (while i was pregnant as well)
Health anxiety sux i totally understand where youre coming from. Im currently waiting to see if my h.pylori breath test comes back positive or not.

It sounds like you’ve been through a really rough time. Have you been diagnosed with cancer in any form at this point? The dimple can always be a concern, but it’s most often benign. But the other symptoms are worrisome to where you should probably find a different Doctor Who will take you seriously. What makes you think something’s metastasized and that there is a liver involvement?
